Sonshine Club draws Orthodox Jewish youth outdoors, building their confidence and giving them a green thumb, an appetite for health, and respect for the environment.
When the club sought increased funding for its blossoming activities, it joined two Interlink Consorta. The Sonshine Club now benefits from being part of Interlink's Young Hackney consortium and Sport England consortium.
An added benefit of participating in these partnerships is that now young people at SONshine Club have their sport and gardening achievements accredited by AQA and receive certificates on completing their units.
The club’s projects have achieved funding from the City-Bridge Trust, Awards For All, and BBC Children in Need, among others.
